Red teaming is a cyber-attack simulation performed by qualified ethical hackers to the organization with the objective of testing the security robustness, threat detection and response capabilities of the organization.
The duration of the red teaming exercise depends on the scope and objectives of the exercise. The operation should not take more than six weeks.

Meanwhile, the Blue Team are defenders who are responsible for monitoring and protecting the organization against any attacks. A Red Team will also measure the capabilities of the Blue Team.

The exploitation is based on the pre-agreed rules of engagement with the legal and ethical standards, unlike the cyber hackers with different objectives.
